DENSO launches online auction to fund PPE for medical staff
DENSO Aftermarket has provided a stock of promotional merchandise, originally intended for marketing campaigns, to a charity silent auction platform. DENSO employees and customers will be able to bid on bulk or individual items, with proceeds to be distributed to medical organisations in affected areas.
This will enable the organisations to acquire personal protection equipment (PPE) for their staff, who are at the front line of the fight against COVID-19 and put their own health at risk to keep others safe.
A wide range of merchandise, from electrical to clothing items, will be available to bid on, and DENSO has confirmed that the funds raised will be distributed between locations in every participating DENSO Aftermarket region.
The auction is only open to DENSO Aftermarket & Industrial Solutions employees as well as their distributors.
Luca Govean, DENSO’s Director of Independent Aftermarket Sales, said: “Supporting communities is a key part of the DENSO Spirit and we are determined to do our part in supporting health organisations across Europe.
“Nothing is more important right now than keeping people safe and enabling healthcare professionals on the front line to do their work with adequate equipment. This auction is our humble way of contributing to the cause and showing solidarity with the key workers doing heroic work every day.”
