DENSO applauds its League of True Mechanics winners
For 2024, the DENSO League of True Mechanics (LOTM) competition was held in many European countries as well as Central Asia, and followed its tried and tested format of blending technical training and best practice principles with a competitive element so that entrants could not only increase their workplace skills, but also be ranked among their peers.
Across the company’s trading regions, alongside the valuable technical and educational benefits, the countries promoting the LOTM competition also incentivised entrants with a selection of prizes for the top ten placed finishes by its close, which was at the end of February. However, despite the deserved placings of these regional winners, there can only be one overall champion, and for 2024, taking the pan European LOTM title, and with it an incredible voucher for €2,000, is Mr. Gábor Lancz from Autó Lancz Kft, Hungary.
On receiving his €2,000 voucher, which was presented by DENSO Sales Executive, Daniel Tolnay, Gábor said: “It is amazing to win this fantastic prize, which I’m going to use to buy some new tools and equipment that will help us to continue to deliver a great service to our customers.
“I first heard of the DENSO LOTM competition thorough a newsletter from InterCars and decided to enter because I like to understand new technologies, and so the opportunity to learn about them from such a renowned expert made entering an easy decision.
“Each of the courses in the competition provided lots of useful details to help do a better job for our customers, but the thermal management and rotating electrics modules were particularly useful as these areas are becoming evermore complex.
“Although I have always trusted DENSO because it’s a strong brand with a great reputation, having access to a massive pool of technical information through the company’s e-learning platform, means that I can better diagnose faults and put right the problems, as well as installing the very best in replacement parts.
“So, if anyone out there hasn’t yet entered, despite whether you win a prize or not, you should because it’ll help you and your business do a better job!”
Although specially selected from among this year’s regional winners, Gábor’s achievement highlights the dedication and expertise of mechanics and DENSO distributors across Europe and Central Asia. Every entrant demonstrates their willingness to put themselves forward and undertake the extra training that DENSO makes freely available, to improve their skills and broaden their knowledge, which ultimately means they are more able to provide a higher level of service to their customers.
Congratulations to Gábor, and all the regional winners of the 2024 LOTM competition, but for those who missed out, there is another opportunity around the corner, as LOTM 2025 launches soon.
