DENSO provides support for victims as winter approaches
Moved by the plight of those still affected by the Mw 7.8 quake, Sales Executive & Senior Field Service Engineer, Özgür Tanca, has been working to bring some relief to families this winter, by using funds from DENSO’s special support reserve.
Through this social project, Özgür has proactively helped 10 families, all from different cities in Türkiye, by purchasing snow jackets that will provide vital protection from the bitterly cold conditions that hit the country during the winter. So far, 62 Quicksilver jackets have been delivered, provided to DENSO at cost price, by local distributor SPX.
However, it’s not just the human victims that the team has been concerned for, as the project has also risen to the challenge to cater for the needs of the four-legged community, as 736kg of dog and cat food from a factory in Izmir has been delivered to a village in Malatya City, where a lady is taking care of 20 dogs and 70 cats that are living in the streets.
In both of these cases, Özgür reached the families in need via an Instagram Influencer, who had visited the earthquake zone, spoken with the victims and made their stories known. Özgür then contacted these individuals, arranged for the delivery of the jackets and pet food, and remains in touch with many of the families he has helped.
Adding a further personal touch, the goods that were shipped all included a letter from DENSO expressing its condolences and best wishes. In return, the recipients have been forthright in their appreciation of the support they have received and sent messages of gratitude and offered prayers to the team and for the company for its kindness.
