Heritage, culture and new value creation

The world is undergoing enormous change, which is why DENSO is committed to creating new value by incorporating environmental and social issues into its internal culture, to ensure it not only offers the products that are needed, but that they are also sympathetically brought to market

Despite being a major manufacturer with facilities in every corner of the globe, DENSO has its eyes set on a future of sustainability and carbon neutrality, where alongside the considerable contributions it makes to its many customers, the company has a vision of how it will continue to grow through the wellbeing of society.

DENSO puts sustainability management into practice by taking the resolution of social issues as a starting point and then utilising its accumulated strengths and capital to implement business activities and advance the value creation processes.

In the quest for carbon neutrality, as well as the reduction of CO2 through decarbonisation, the capture and reuse of CO2 emissions, known as carbon recycling, is becoming a focus of the company’s attention. Therefore, to efficiently realise these objectives, DENSO is developing and introducing a compact, highly efficient CO2 capture system.

Furthermore, with the aim of contributing to society, DENSO has been working to maximise the value it provides through its business activities under the headings ‘Green’ and ‘Peace of mind’, so has established medium to long term targets and follows specific initiatives in order to achieve them.

Looking to the longer term, DENSO has a vision for 2030, which it describes as bringing hope for the future of the planet, society and all people. To realise this vision, the company is, among other activities, working to achieve business growth through new mobility solutions and promoting management reforms.

In addition, DENSO has made connections between the social issues it aims to resolve through its business activities and sustainable development goals (SDG), and has clarified those it intends to achieve on a companywide level, while at the same time, its employees have set individual SDGs that they will also strive to reach on a daily basis.

As we can see, DENSO is committed to sustainability, and this extends to its aftermarket division. The company focuses on developing eco-friendly products like R&R products along with solutions that reduce environmental impact. This includes designing new components that enhance fuel efficiency, reduce emissions and support the longevity of vehicles, as well as remanufactured products that ultimately contribute to a more sustainable automotive ecosystem. Together, these initiatives are allowing DENSO to use its proud heritage to further develop its internal culture to create a new value proposition for its customers and society.
