The multiple World Rally Championship (WRC) title holder brought the company’s loyalty program to a fitting climax, by winning the Spanish round of the 2022 championship held in Catalunya, in front of 33 DENSO customers from Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania and the United Kingdom
In the 90th Le Mans 24 Hours, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing took first and second to extend its winning run to five at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, with the leading DENSO sponsored GR010 HYBRID, completing 380 laps to take the chequered flag and the second crossing the line just 2mins 1.222secs behind.
Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley made it two wins out of two in the World Endurance Championships’ new Hypercar class, taking a well-earned victory in TOYOTA GAZOO racing’s 100th WEC race. Just 1.8 seconds behind them were Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López in the #7 TOYOTA, completing a TOYOTA GAZOO one-two.
The World Rally Championship returned to Sardinia for its fifth stage, providing yet another stellar performance by the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, who celebrated several achievements. It was the team’s maiden win in Italy, provided another one-two finish, and extended the lead in the rankings for both the drivers’ championship and the manufacturers’ standings. It was another fantastic first place finish for Sébastien Ogier along with Julien Ingrassia and is the pair’s third win out of five stages of the WRC 2021 so far. They now lead the championship by 11 points.
The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team celebrate three big achievements in this year’s fourth stage of the World Rally Championship at the Rally de Portugal. Welsh rally driver and rising star Elfyn Evans claimed victory, his third so far in his career since joining TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, along with co-driver Scott Martin. The team also celebrate their third win in just four stages of the World Rally Championship so far, along with a double podium finish from each of the first four events in the 2021 season.
