From our founding in Japan, to our growth into sites across the world, DENSO has a rich history and heritage in the automotive market. From our first establishment, DENSO has set out to make a difference in the automotive world, including in the aftermarket. To celebrate our commitment to automotive innovation and customer service across our seven decades in the industry, we’ve put together a timeline of the key parts of our history.
PowerEdge by DENSO, an automotive brand created to fulfil demand for value products in the aftermarket, has launched across Europe. The brand is already available in the USA, where it has become popular for its appeal to customers with older vehicles, looking for a more economical choice for parts replacement. Now, its benefits are set to come to Europe, starting with its range of wiper blades and air conditioning compressors.
Sébastien Buemi, Kazuki Nakajima and Brendon Hartley made it two wins out of two in the World Endurance Championships’ new Hypercar class, taking a well-earned victory in TOYOTA GAZOO racing’s 100th WEC race. Just 1.8 seconds behind them were Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López in the #7 TOYOTA, completing a TOYOTA GAZOO one-two.
The World Rally Championship returned to Sardinia for its fifth stage, providing yet another stellar performance by the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, who celebrated several achievements. It was the team’s maiden win in Italy, provided another one-two finish, and extended the lead in the rankings for both the drivers’ championship and the manufacturers’ standings. It was another fantastic first place finish for Sébastien Ogier along with Julien Ingrassia and is the pair’s third win out of five stages of the WRC 2021 so far. They now lead the championship by 11 points.
The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team celebrate three big achievements in this year’s fourth stage of the World Rally Championship at the Rally de Portugal. Welsh rally driver and rising star Elfyn Evans claimed victory, his third so far in his career since joining TOYOTA GAZOO Racing, along with co-driver Scott Martin. The team also celebrate their third win in just four stages of the World Rally Championship so far, along with a double podium finish from each of the first four events in the 2021 season.
