In what can only be described as a ‘winning weekend’, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing took to the podium in not one but two FIA World Championship events (WEC and WRC).
The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team, led by driver Ott Tänak, have won the fastest event in the World Rally Championship calendar – Rally Finland. This is the third consecutive year the team have taken the top spot and they have also maintained their record of taking two cars onto the podium every year since the event’s debut in 2017.
The Toyota Gazoo Racing team secured yet another victory during the WEC season. The 87th Le Mans 24 Hours race proved challenging for both cars but that didn’t stop them claiming the first and second titles along with the #8 TS050 HYBRID team being crowned the overall winners of the 2018-2019 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).
Driver Ott Tänak and the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing World Rally Team claimed victory at the WRC Rally de Portugal at the weekend (02.06.19), making this the third win for the team in 2019.
The TOYOTA GAZOO Racing team has won the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) Team’s Title after securing a victory at Spa-Francorchamps. The dramatic 7th round and penultimate race of the 2018-2019 season lasted a total of six hours and was affected by adverse weather including heavy snow and a hail storm.
