Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors
To help vehicles meet strict emissions regulations, complex sensor systems are needed. These include exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS).
Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensors
How EGTS work
Features and benefits
-
Single tube sensing part structure for reduced volume size.
-
High responsiveness thanks to sensing part and shaped thermistor.
-
Withstands engine vibrations.
-
Detects temperature from -40 to 1000 degrees Celsius.
Innovative design
The sensing element and sensing part of the EGTS are specially designed to achieve high performance in a design that is 90% smaller in volume.
Reliable performance
As well as being more compact, DENSO EGTS are heat- and vibration-resistant, meaning there’s no sensor breakage in the exhaust system.
High accuracy
The sensing part and the shaped thermistor enable high responsiveness – able to respond to a sudden increase from room temperature to 1000 degrees Celsius in less than 7 seconds.
Types and characteristics
DENSO’s unique EGTS design and wide range of products offer a suitable sensor type to fit a fast-growing number of applications and car models.
